Breaker & Electrical Panel Repair in Central Oklahoma
Breakers that trip over and over, won't reset, feel hot or buzz, and panels that are out of space.
Breaker & panel problems
What usually goes wrong
A breaker trips to protect the wiring. One trip after running too many things at once is normal; a breaker that trips repeatedly, will not reset, feels warm or makes a buzzing sound is not. Reset it once by pushing the handle fully off and then on. If it trips again, leave it off and call.
Do not remove the panel cover, swap in a larger breaker or tape a handle on. Those shortcuts hide the real problem and can let wiring overheat. Older fuse boxes and panels may also simply be too small for a modern home with central air, an electric range and a dryer.
When you call, mention the panel brand if it is printed on the door, roughly how old it is, and whether you are planning additions like an EV charger or a shop. Ask the electrician whether a repair or a panel upgrade makes more sense, and get it in writing.
